Would love to join for my first jeep trip. So far all I have done to my 2012 JKU sport is rims/tires, and rock guards. Hopefully I will have my new bumper/winch level kit. Idk if I'd be able to keep up with some of yall's rigs.

James, I did well on this property with nothing but a Teraflex level kit and 34s. You'll be fine, as long as you're cautious.

There was a stock (or near stock) TJ on 30s or 31s during the same run that did well all things considered.
One of the first things anyone with a JK (07+) that's gonna wheel it should do--get a good oil pan skid. Jeep forgot to put one on.

James: The other stock skids are decent enough unless you plan on really banging the underside on the Rubicon Trail. The evap canister is also open to damage, you can either buy a ski or get a relocation kit for that. Bust the evap and the computer will prevent operation of the vehicle.

I probably need to take my own advice, as my luck is bound to run out sooner than later and mine sometimes sees offroad action in KY.

The 2012 has an evap canister skid.

James, I spent $400 on the EVO ProTec skid system. I highly recommend it- protects my oil pan, transmission pan, and exhaust loop and crossover. I am MUCH more confident knowing the drivetrain is protected. You can take a look at mine some time if you want.
