Well I reciently moved to Red River, NM for the winter. I've been here about 2 months now and absolutely live it. I'll be here until I leave for Navy bootcamp on march 6th. It's been snowing a ton! Were supposed to get another 10-15"s in the next 36 hours! But on to the jeep talk.. The trails here are extremely easy and can be driven up with a stock 4x4. But now that they are covered in a lot of snow my jeep can't even get to the top of the trails anymore. But here's some pics I took outside my house and heading up and down greenie peek. The elevation of greenie peek is over 11,000 feet!

Isn't Red River part fo the Enchanted Circle? We spent a week in Valle Escondido between Taos and Angel Fire. 70 degrees and dry in August. Great area.

Yes red river is in the enchanted circle. It's about 45 minutes from Taos and 27 miles to angel fire.

Troy you have to check out Las Cruses while you are out there in NM. I can hook you up with some local guys that wheel out in the BLM land on the Chili Challenge trails once a month. The snow wheelin looks like fun. I've always wanted to do that. i guess we will see you in hot springs in Feb...

Alan I appreciate that! But I doubt I'll have the money or the time to make it down to las cruses this year. I'm leaving for the navy march 6th. But I'm trying to make it to KOH on February 8th-11th then move back to Louisiana then make it to the gorilla rule race at superlift on february 16th.. So somewhere in there I need to start training for bootcamp and lose 20 pounds! Haha
