Some camp at the park, some stay in one of two hotels in Gilmer. We will either hotel or stay in my uncles motor home if he comes again this year.

Check out the Points of Interest section. Look at the Barnwell Mountain thread and it gives Hotel and phone number information. I am pretty sure the $40 rate quoted in that thread are not current.

That sounds about right to Gilmer. Then another 10-15 to Barnwell Mountain.

I usually leave here early Friday morning, 4ish in the a.m., so I am there before noon. Ride Friday, Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night, then come home Sunday morning. Some get up there Thursday, some Saturday. Some will ride Sunday morning and come home later in the day.
