Fellas, we stayed there once. It's probably 5 miles south of Gilmer and a little off the beaten path. This park will handle a big rig but it's not the most big rig friendly I've seen. Caution around low limbs and narrow bridges got us in and out okay. Cell service wasn't good there, as I remember.

The City of Gilmer did have a park called "Yamboree Park" which was like a fairground. I'm told they closed it down a few years back.

Yawl have a great time and be careful. Wish we could be with you but work takes me another direction that weekend.

I managed to get off the whole weekend, but didn't find out that was possible until late last week. So I spent all my "fun" money on beer and the trip to NOLA for the game. Talk about a waste!

To those going, have fun, be safe and take a boatload of pics and vids!

We had a great time. Even though I mechaniced more than I rode, it was a blast. Both of my Uncles enjoyed it and Dad said it was the best weekend ever...... Can't ask for more than that.

John, thanks for the spotting on DeWoody, even though I didn't make it.

This was by far the best ride I have been on. Just great all around. Great group riding together, good weather and trails selected. Could not have asked for better. I think the tally in the end was all 3's on the property were run and a few 4's! Thanks to all those who helped out with this and looking forward to the next ride.

Some lessons learned and VERY thankful for no serious injuries, the metal can be fixed!

Sunday morning before everyone pulled out they we were with us and in good spirits. A little sore and some bruises. Mr. Harry's hand has some stitches and is bandaged up but nothing broken, and that is amazing. Jeep, not so much.... I must say though after watching this happen I can't believe that is all the damage their Jeep sustained. These things are some tough.

Sorry you couldn't make this one. It was a good one! Hopefully see you on the trails next time man.
