Hey folks, We are new here, as we finally got our hands on a classic 1989 Wrangler Islander edition. My name is Nick, I'll basically be on here the most. My dad, Dominick, will be helping me restore this old beauty. We purchased the jeep for $500 (WHAT A STEAL!) and pushed it home. So far, we have been able to revive the engine and get it running, but it's still sitting on 26 year old rust and suspension. The floor of the tub is rusted out (Flintstone style), and the frame has seen better days. We are no experts in the mechanical field, but we can put our heads together and get the job done right. We are working on a pretty tight budget and looking for second hand YJ parts to throw into the project. All assistance is greatly appreciated. I'm located in Baton Rouge, and my dad and Jeep are in Slidell.

    Nice to meet y'all.
